‘The Bannen Way’: Cast Announced, Sultry Set Photos

Plenty of juicy tidbits released today from Crackle’s highly anticipated action thriller web series The Bannen Way. It’s no secret we’re hot on this one, and for good reason. It’s one of the rare few web series that landed a major studio deal on just a trailer. Sure it was a slick and sexy teaser shot on the RED One, but still an indie series from the get-go.

Of course now it’s a full-on Sony Pictures Television project, and is currently shooting in downtown Los Angeles prepping for its January 2010 release on Crackle.com. Creators Jesse Warren, who directs the series, and Mark Gantt, who plays the titular con man Neal Bannen, have pulled together a cast worth writing about like Michael Ironside as Bannen’s police chief father and Robert Forster as his mafia boss uncle. Former General Hospital and Las Vegas star Vanessa Marcil plays Bannen’s love interest Madison and Michael Lerner is set to be a “special guest star.”

Porn Star Moms And Softball, ‘Mommy XXX’ and ‘All Stars’ Coming To Crackle

Oh Crackle. It’s really no secret that you’re after that coveted young male demo, and the latest two additions to the summer web series roster should score some points in that game: Mommy XXX and All Stars.

Mommy XXX, a new reality series goes after one of the only unclaimed plots on the reality landscape, porn stars mommies. The show centers around a typical real-life family who’s matriarch, Demi Delia, happens to be a Playboy model turned adult film star. The single mom raises her 14 year-old daughter — a straight-A student — and her aspiring punk rocker son.

Next up is All Stars, starring Crackle-regular Owen Benjamin (Owen Benjamin Presents, Heckle U, Gaytown) as the ringleader of the Nifty Rubber Band company’s failing office softball league. The series is written by Benjamin along with fellow Owen Benjamin Presents writer Jesse Shapiro who also stars in the show. Their usual gang of comedians star as well, including Chris Wylde (Heckle U) and Brody Stevens (Gaytown).
