Lisa Kudrow’s Streamy-nominated web series Web Therapy is coming back for a second season today on LStudio.com. Kudrow returns as online therapist Fiona Wallice known for her curt, questionably-legal three-minute patient sessions via iChat.
A second season, even for a web series, means plenty of notable guest stars, including Kudrow’s former Friends co-star Courtney Cox, who joins the cast for a few “sessions.” Her three-episode run will debut on July 6th. Also on the chat-couch this time are Alan Cumming, Steven Weber, Julie Claire, Dan Bucatinsky, and Victor Garber.
Kudrow has apparently been loving the chance to call her own shots with the project, as she once again works with producing partners Dan Bucatinsky and Don Roos (who also directs the series) at Is it or Isn’t It Entertainment.

Nearly 1,000 web creators, producers, actors and other web television industry folks packed maniaTV Studios (yes, home of the old Gilligan’s Island soundstage) to network, imbibe, and assert that web television is a force to be reckoned with. We put on a showcase of web series from the Hollywood Web Television Meetup’s community, screening All’s Faire from Dinosaur Diorama, Leaving Bliss from Shanna Micko, GOLD from David Nett, Lost Parodies from The Fine Brothers, The Meatgrinder Show from Chris Erb and Dal Wolf, Valley Peaks from Chicken Cobra, Is It Safe? from Pith-e Productions, and Puppy Love from L Studios.

Lexus’ L Studio unveiled a new web series this month and once again they’ve scored with a tasteful, funny, and well-produced gem. Starlee and Arthur Review brings us straight into the lighthearted banter of humorists Starlee Kine and Arthur Jones as they review, well, life. The pair explores everything from disaster movies to the internet. With simple but often hilarious illustrations underscoring Kine and Jone’s light, insightful banter, the show has a delightful highbrow tone, as you might expect from people who have the uber-cool job title of “humorists.”
In the pair’s review of Lost, Arthur extrapolates the plot by recalling Gilligan’s Island, since he confesses he has never seen the show. He says of the smoke monster “Spoiler alert! There’s a fog machine on the island. Someone needs to unplug it.” Some episodes are more successful at being funny than others—it appears the show works best when the humor is more precise. Talking about the concept of fun, Jones and Kine are less dead-on than in their pop culture critiques.

Oh, dog people. They bring their pets to restaurants. They coo at their pooch in baby talk. They even let their smelly little mutts into their beds at night. Is it any wonder they’re misunderstood? The pilot episode of Puppy Love, the new L Studio web series by producer Amy Harris [...]

Lexus today launched L Studio, a new web hub for creative innovation, featuring an eclectic mix of snazzy original web video content. Headlining the debut is Web Therapy starring and created by Lisa Kudrow (Friends) where she plays a less-than-stellar therapist offering sessions over video chat. Kudrow’s Fiona Wallace character delivers her smart brand of [...]
