Fans of last year’s election drama alternate-reality game DELETED: The Game will be excited to hear that GEN247 Media have brought the mind-bending series back for another round.
The official DELETED website now has a counter running which (presumably) indicates when the new show, entitled DELETED: Redux, will begin – and, of course, the new game will start. As of this writing, the counter looks like it will end on Saturday, August 15th at 1PM Pacific, though anyone familiar with ARGs knows that things never quite turn out like you’d expect.
In typical ARG fashion, the DELETED: Redux promotional efforts have been minimal; besides the mysterious counter on the website, there’s a recap video of the thirteen-episode DELETED: The Game series that was posted on YouTube.

If you’ve ever described your dream date as having “parsnip toes” or “butternut thighs”, you’re going to like Vegan 101.
Produced, written, and starring Joanne Rose, Vegan 101 is a comedic take on daily life without animal products. So far, there are three episodes up at online network KoldCast TV: “Dating a Vegan” covers the Vegan dating scene, “Veg Book” takes a Vegan twist on social networking and scene gossip, and “Happy Vegan Birthday” portrays a touching couple moment – and the fallout from forgetting some key facts about your partner. The next episode, “The Raw Experience” shows a vegan couple on a blind date to a raw food restaurant. While the characters aren’t consistent from episode to episode, Rose stars in each of them, and invariably brings her visible love for the vegan lifestyle in with her.

Maybe the Dharma Initiative is actually just a front to saturate the American automobile market with reliable, affordable Korean-made cars. (So that’s why Jin and Sun were on that plane.)
Kia Motors is sponsoring a five-episode Internet miniseries by ABC called Mysteries of the Universe: The Dharma Initiative, a set of short-form documentaries about the enigmatic research institute that is central to the show’s mystery.
Not only are these faux-documentaries pure LOST mythology, they’re done up in impeccable ’80s investigative journalism style, complete with VHS tracking lines. It’s so authentic I feel sorry for whoever got stuck with putting them on a video cassette before ripping them and putting them up on ABC.com.

Ever wondered what the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers would look like if they kept at it after finishing high school?
They’d probably look something like the cast of MegaBot, the upcoming web series from 5432Films that takes the giant robot genre and gives it a rather not-safe-for-work spin on things. In classic Power Rangers tradition, the team is composed of five members, each with a different color: Red is Miles Fisher (best known for an eerily accurate Tom Cruise impression), Blue is Fran Kranz (Topher from Dollhouse), Pink is Heather Anne Campbell, Black is Giovanni Adams, and Yellow is none other than comedian Randall Park who you might know from Dr. Miracles.

With their combined experience in children’s television programming and marketing, Andy Heyward and Amy Moynihan probably know more about your kids than you do.
That’s why they’ve formed their own company called “A Squared Entertainment” (cute, guys) and have teamed up with AOL to produce and distribute a season of three to five minute ‘educational webisodes.’ These aren’t just any web series, however – they’ve got star power like Warren Buffett, Martha Stewart and even model Gisele Bundchen in three new series—Secret Millionaire’s Club, GiGi & The Green Team, and Little Martha.
They’ve even managed to get the late astronomer Carl Sagan in the mix with Kosmos, a show that was inspired by Sagan’s Cosmos: A Personal Voyage and is actually created by Ann Druyan.

Gaming network GameZombie TV announced their plans for the return of its flagship web series ButtonMashers, which will debut its second season, “eight months in the making” on August 3rd. We last checked in on the popular gamer network and its founder Spencer Striker back in February, which now boasts over 7 million views across its series.
Those of you out there who watched through the first season of ButtonMashers no doubt stuck with it for its unique blend of news coverage and forum flame wars – now they’re bringing it back with some additions to the host crew and some new show segment with hosts Chelsey Matrix, Keetin Marchi, Sam Sher and David Klein with Jessica Frasher hosting a new segment called ‘Dick Moves.’

Matt and Nat fans, rejoice: the co-hosts of Your Geek News are one step closer to becoming the Siskel & Ebert of geekdom by landing a partnership with UK-based Babelgum. Their new branded channel is immediately available for consumption and it contains dozens of YGN clips covering everything from The Watchmen to Wolverine.
For those of you unfamiliar with Your Geek News, now is as good a time as any to hop on the bandwagon. The show is hosted by Matt Campagna and Anastasia “Nat” Tubanos, two dedicated geek journalists who pride themselves on their nerd culture cred, shameless inner children, and their connections, who hook them up with the advance clips and interviews that keep Transformers fans up at night. Comic book movies, science fiction, fantasy, Harry Potters and Twilights – they’ve got ‘em all.

Think a little bit of Friday and a little bit of South Park.
That’s more or less what gets us to Orlando’s Joint, a Flash-animated short series about pot-puffing Orlando (voiced by Rodney J. Hobbs) and the trials and tribulations of running The Coffee Joint, a neighborhood coffee shop that unexpectedly came into his possession.
Joining Orlando are his two good friends Magda (Sonia Maria Martin) and Ponzi (Kevin John); the former is a girl-seeking girl who moonlights as a (hilariously boring) phone sex operator when she can’t get work at the Joint, and the latter is a wannabe thug who was named after a “famous entrepreneur” who taught his mother everything she knew about business. Together with the spirit of the previous proprietor, Bumpie, who has been reincarnated as a cockroach, they keep the Coffee Joint together amid the pressures of city life – until Orlando’s shady DJ past comes back to haunt him.
