Lads, I’ve gotta disagree. I’m all in. From the teaser, I don’t see this as Bourdain trying too hard to be uber-cool but rather as a clever use of web video as another venue to express his slightly rude, crude and almost-but-not-quite-unacceptable brand of entertainment.

This is exactly what I see the web so useful for when it comes to video programming…shows that push the envelope farther than broadcast or cable TV can. I’m looking forward to checking our the series once it is spewed forth upon the Earth.

I love Bourdain, but you are SO right. This is simply trying too hard. Bourdain should stick to what he’s good at, being a hilarious hypercritical food show host.

Though still, this is only a sneak peek. I’ll probably give it some sort of chance.
