Fans of Weeds, Showtime’s comedy-drama that mixes Southern California suburbia with a pot-slangin’ soccer mom, will be glad to hear that the new season (which started on June 8th) isn’t confined to cable. That’s right – Weeds is the latest big-time TV show that is spreading out to the Internet via a series of hilarious webisodes called University of Andy, starring everyone’s favorite Botwin brother, Andy Botwin (Justin Kirk).
Each episode treats us to about five minutes of Andy waxing scholarly on some of his favorite topics – none of which you’ll encounter in any accredited institution, obviously. So far, there’s five episodes up: “Holding Your Liquor”, “How To Survive A Bear Attack” (my personal favorite), “How To Start A Band”, “How To Satisfy A Woman”, and “How To Score With Foreign Girls”. No word on whether Andy’s infamous masturbation lecture will make it into U of A’s online class database, but I’m holding out hope – word has it the show is slated to continue for at least another seven episodes or so, released weekly.
If that sounds like it might scratch your itch for more Weeds, stop by the enrollment page; the website is done up rather convincingly like a typical university page. The videos are under the “classes” page; if you click on “Enroll” you can set up a Sho.com account that will let you take quizzes, accumulate course credit, and eventually earn your very own degree from University of Andy. Learn more about Prof. Botwin or check out some of the Weeds/University of Andy merch if you want to rep your new alma mater.

this is awesome thanks for sharing!
Excellent news. I’ve never felt the same about banana peals.
This sounds FUN! What a great character to interact with, I wish Kevin Nealon was his Teachers Assistant. I also thought it was interesting that many platforms hosted the first episode of Weeds, looks like Showtime is testing out some new marketing, although anyone web savy should know how to get the free episodes of Weeds online anyhow.
Hahha nm, I see Kevin is in here, AWESOME!
LOL, I just enrolled, this site it tight.
