Nick Thune's 'Big Show' is Going to Be Epic

So there’s this comedian/actor out there named Nick Thune. You might have seen his bits before or maybe you caught his recent appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. ‘Dead End City’ Brings Undead Noir to the Internet

Where other people spend their time making videoblog shows, pop culture parodies, and three-minute sitcoms, Jeff Varga wants to bring something serious to the world of web television. It could be said that Jeff Varga has a vision for web television – and that vision involves fascist Australian zombies and hot women shooting the holy hell out of each other in Sin City-inspired noir streets.

In other words, that vision is Dead End City, and the fifteen-minute pilot episode is out for public consumption. Gary Graham of Alien Nation and Star Trek: Enterprise plays Murphy, a gritty hustler who spends his life dodging bullets and aiming at beautiful women. While avoiding some thugs at a local watering hole (“The Dragon Lady”), a chance encounter puts him in possession of a mysterious elephant figurine – and in the sights of Scarza (Matthew Nicolau), an Australian fascist with a fresh bullet hole in the forehead. Added to the mix are the beautiful ladies of The Dragon Lady: Brandy (Dani Lennon), Sally (Misty Madden), Tzu Ki (Trinh Tran), and Lin (Tally Hunkins), as well as the villainously delicious Zena (Mandy May), each of whom enters the fray for their own particular reasons. If it sounds like fun, that’s probably because it is – so go watch the pilot (above).

ON Networks’ ‘City by City’ Jets Off to Asia for Season 2

ON Networks has launched a second season of it’s web series City by City. Each five minute episode focuses on the highlights of a particular global city. Unlike the first season of the show which focused on Europe, this season will feature 12 episodes on Asian cities. So far, Japan and Seoul have been featured.

With City by City, Austin, Texas-based ON Networks has added another strong show to their growing list of original online series. The network features shows in a variety of different genres including sports, video games, most notably last fall’s Amy Poehler-created kids talk show Smart Girls at the Party and even an upcoming series on consciousness and creativity with surrealistic artist and filmmaker David Lynch. City by City is similar to ON Networks Beautiful Places in HD, except it doesn’t focus on natural beauty.

‘True Colors’ Makes Outing Racism Hilarious

Enter True Colors, a new hidden camera show produced by Dwayne Smith (who you may remember as a lonelygirl15 writer) and Lisa Bohacek (one of the people responsible for inflicting The Simple Life on TV audiences) for Sony Pictures TV’s Crackle.com. True Colors takes the normal premise for a hidden camera show – filming people under duress in a public setting – and focuses on creating racially charged situations to, well, show a person’s true colors. Why do I feel like I’ve seen this on Chappelle’s Show before?
