For the past decade – and probably longer – Tom Cruise’s bizarre behavior has stirred many a controversy. Thanks to that dance on Oprah’s couch, or the tirade against Brooke Shields or his zealous involvement with Scientology, there are those who consider him a complete loon. Others, however, heartily disagree prefer to label him an [...]

Clara Cannucciari is 93 years old and knows her way around the kitchen – and how to make cost-effective meals. Her skills, which she learned from her mother during the Great Depression, are coming in handy given cutbacks, layoffs and the nation’s overall recession.
Christopher Cannucciari launched the first three episodes online in summer 2007, without a distributor. “As a filmmaker, I am excited to distribute independently,” he said. “Technology has finally reached a place that makes distribution costs so minimal that the artist can self-distribute and retain the rights of their works.”

Web video pioneers Benny and Rafi Fine have joined the fight to overturn California’s ban on same-sex marriage with Prop. 8: The Web Series, a five-episode social satire that pokes fun at various rights from the state’s Constitution via a “what-if” scenario.
The series, in which the brothers will appear, also features familiar faces in the Web video community, including Sara E.R. Fletcher (Secret Girlfriend), Maxwell Glick (lonelygirl15) as well as Tubefilter’s own Lindsay Stidham. Filming took place in the home owned by series music composer Joseph Carrillo and his husband Gregory Frye, who assisted the production with filming locations. The Midwest Teen Sex Show, an ongoing web series with 24 episodes out so far, provides sex ed for teenagers with a healthy dose of humor and wit. The popular series has more than 400,000 fans, but YouTube, Facebook and MySpace are not among them.
Episodes of the series, consistently ranked No. 1 on multichannel web video distributor KoldCast.TV, recently had videos and Facebook groups removed from the popular social-networking sites, citing community guidelines and terms of use (TOS) violations.

The Wonder Years was a special show set in a special time that showed us the life of one special boy, Kevin Arnold. The world was truly blessed to grow up with Kevin and his all American family as he innocently explored love, happiness, and puberty; his first kiss, nocturnal emissions, peer pressure, social awkwardness, confusion about [...]

Looks like professional eccentric Andy Dick has found a new way to be uncomfortably funny in his new web talk show, House Arrest With Andy Dick, which premiered on Atom.com this week.
House Arrest With Andy Dick is only running for five episodes, each one weighing in at about five minutes each, so catch it while you can. The initial two episodes feature Cheaters host Joey Greco, (you might remember him as the one who got stabbed on TV), and Mo Collins of MadTV. The March 11th episode added the all-knowing Dr. Drew Pinsky of Loveline and Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
