That’s a pretty extensive list – congratulations on choosing people who are actively involved in making web television the innovative and exciting media that it is! I particularly liked the fact that you have given a little information about each person. Will you be linking to their websites in further releases?
I’m really looking forward to seeing who the finalists for the Streamy Awards are going be!
It’s very exciting to watch the beginning of all this stuff. Congrats to everyone!
ETA on the nominees?
Web Television? Worst name ever.
Congrats to those who were chosen! I recognize and know a lot of names on that list, and they’ve put in the hours to gain those positions. Here’s hoping this union helps advance the medium!
This is really great and long overdue! Constuctively, I can’t help but say the “international” part seems a bit missing amongst the inaugural members of the IAWT. If anyone who reads this would like some suggestions, I’d be glad to help. I’ve co-organized Vlog Europe for three years and can give you some quality ex-US names.
Thanks guys for being patient with us during this process. It’s definitely an incredible feat pulling together an Awards show and voting process that will be around for years to come.
The Audience Choice Award voting on the finalists (as determined by the open submission process earlier this year) will begin next week.
Soon after the finalists in each of the remaining categories – like Best Hosted Web Series, Best Writing in a Comedy Web Series, Best Male Actor in a Drama Series, etc. will be announced.
The winners of course will be announced LIVE at the Streamy Awards on March 28th. The whole show will be live streamed worldwide.
Re: IAWTV and international representation. Jeffrey, good point. While we did our best to include some non-US members, there could always be more going forward. We would love to hear your suggestions.
party at my house for academy members only. byob. i’ve got the wii. :)
Nice to see a wide group of people in the trenches as part of this. Its all very exciting!
Nice to see a wide group of people in the trenches as part of this. Its all very exciting and great to have people recognized in this media.
Thanks again for the nod. Looking forward to the party on March 28 (and at Hayden’s place).

- can you please post a formal mechanism by which we can suggest people who should have been included on the list?
@modelmotion – yes, we are rolling out a new IAWTV site shortly which will have a submission form for prospective members. Thanks for the suggestion!
Congratulations to all of the inaugural members of the IAWTV. Looking forward to seeing you on the 28th of March!
