<description>I&#039;m enjoying the series quite a bit--5 episodes in, though I am having some problems with the player.

In terms of the roll-out strategy, I&#039;m of two minds. With so much competition, I can see why they want to grab and cement an audience. A traditional 22 or 44 minute network pilot gives me a long period to gauge whether I want to keep coming back each week, and 4 minutes doesn&#039;t quite get that job done. So the odds of me watching all 10 episodes are certainly higher than if I had to remember to come back each week to watch them one at a time.

On the other hand, I think the beauty of any serialized story is that the gap between episodes lets me relish the anticipation of greatness to come. In this case I will gorge on all 10, and then move on. For me this is not as satisfying artistically. I watched the whole first season of The Guild the same way--in ten quick gulps, and then regretted not being able to experience any of the delightful cliffhangers (one quite literally hanging) the way they were intended. With Season 2 I will have some more discipline.

For my admittedly idiosyncratic taste the best strategy would be to release 3 or 4 to set up a rhythm and get me hooked, then make me wait a bit between each of the rest.
